They are doing a diesel in the Liberty for next year, but it will be a 2.5l 5 cyl, not the big ole monster Cummins.
Yah I figured it would not be the big one. Any number for the liberty engine. Perhaps if it makes it into the liberty the Dak is not too far off. I am still a little puzzled by the Liberty as the choice for the diesel. Guess you gotta start with something.

I think we should stop with diesel engines and make engines that run on corn oil or alcohol.
Let North American redneck auto companies keep making those POS's! The diesel technology in it is only about 10 years behind VW's, MB's, Fiat's, Renault's. The build quality is 20 years behind. It's crap on the road like that that gives diesels a bad name on this side of the pond. And keeps Europe looking down their nose at us.

Those things are just plain embarassing.
Look for nice things from Dodge in the near future. They are going to stop using the Cummins (owned by ford) and will be using an MB sourced diesel engine. Nothing like taking advantage of the sweet sweet company parts bin
