Crazy boost.. limp mode wth?
Hey guys tonight driving back to my parents I pass a car going like from 120-140ish and i'm boosting and hear this kinda pop noise like ass if my intake filter imploded.. i was like WTF! so i try to gas it after i get back in my lane and my boost guage hits 5PSI.. i'm thinking mmmm great my DV is dead or i hit limp mode... well for the last few months my APR has never spiked past 18 and just holds 15 (which is fine cuz it holds right) so I'm like whatever and drive into a small town in the middle of central ab.. and shut off my car wait 5 minutes and leave.. well not my car drives like a bat outta hell! i'm spiking to 22psi!! and holding more than 15! its like i was rechipped.
what the hell did my ECU do? i know the air is really crisp out right now could that be the cause? and then driving the rest of the way home i could get it to hit limp mode whenever i wanted to and would just neutral shutoff back on and it would be back to normal.
very strange.. anybody know whats up with that?

If you ran that much boost you would be rebuilding your motor again
