Has or is anyone using the split second BC? or any thoughts on it, if its worth the money if i'm not going to chip anytime soon? let me know your thoughts

I had the split second bc on my awd gti for about 2 years and it worked great. Prolly not quite as good as a chip, but you should be able to get one for pretty cheap and it is easily reversable.

My split second was supposed to only go as high as 14.5psi, but if cranked, I would see 17psi in 3rd-5th gear.

why spend the $500 on the split second boost controller when you could spend $500 on a chip? i dont think the boost controller has any benefit except for being able to dial the boost down. but you can do that with APR chips too. just my opinion, just spend the extra money and do it once, do a chip.

oh, and everyones allowed at the meets, they even let me come sometime.

The SS boost controller will let you increase boost to something like 14psi. However, its not going to give you the same gains as a chip. You may also run into overboost codes that you wouldn't get with just a chip, since with the boost controller you are exceeding the computer programmed boost level.

Yes, if I could have one or the other, I would take a good chip. But you should be able to find an ebc for pretty cheap.
