    I am not sure what kind of gains you would get from this. It would seem to me that enarging the intake and exhaust ports won't help if the intake and exhaust manifolds are really constrictive. If you had custom manifolds made, then maybe that would help. Alternatively you would want the stock manifolds ported to match or maybe extruded.

    Do you have any idea how much this would cost? I am guessing more than or as much as a Stage III turbo kit. Just not worth it on the 1.8T.

      This is what you would need on the intake manifold size, port matched:



      Then you would want an equal length tubular race manifold before your turbo.

        As with many things on turbo engines porting the head and/or manifold won't gain you nearly as much as for the time and resources involved as, say, a big downpipe, or beefier turbo. Once you have those in place and are looking to extract that last little bit of HP from the car then that is the time to look at porting.
