In another thread I said "I won't change my wheels till Nov". Well after driving around this evening, and sliding everywhere with no traction at all, I came home at 10 and decided to make the switch back to stock 15s. Of course:
- Since I'm switching wheels I might as well put the mud flaps back on.
- Since messing with flaps, I might as well fix that wheel well liner thats coming loose.
- Taking off the wheel well liner, I see the lower intercooler pipe. I have an ABT one on my desk - might as well put that one in.
- Since I'm putting the abt pipe in, I need to take off the bumper.
- Ah, since the bumper is off I might as well switch the GLI valence back to stock. Avoiding those giant ice demons that drop from wheel wells is bad.
Which all leads to 4 hours to change wheels. And now I have to work at 8. . I also found out you don't need to take off the bumper for the intercooler pipe. Ah well, stock looking car once again. With a compustar which is pretty handy already.
