I think it looks like a corolla that ate too many Krispy Kremes from the rear...
But to each his own I guess, like the new BMW's, some people like 'em, other's think they look like a design someone with a lazy eye and a full frontal lobotomy would throw away....
This could be a good direction for the Jetta, could be bad...it looks like a push to a larger (mid-size?) sedan with potentially more luxury and a much higher price tag. As opposed to this year's Jetta (sorry guys) that looks like someone epoxied as much Walmart-brand chrome trim onto it as they could. The current model Jetta looks better sans chrome, its compact, sporty and still refined.
But if it makes everyone feel better, g0dd@mn the new A4 is fugly. To quote Beyond, its so g@y looking as to be ghey. Seems like that guy with the lazy eye has struck again....who would have thought it? Two German automakers in the same generation....
i love the new audi designs.. the mk5s aren't really doing it for me.. the b6 passat looks awesome tho
The A3 looks just like the new GTI (or other way around? ) but that's a good thing...The new A6 does look a lot classier than before...but the new A4 may be an acquired taste....
Well...the thing is I may be a B5 fanboy (I love the shape, wish it never changed!) and I hate everything about the 8E ("B6") chassis except the fender flares....I guess the new A4 looks a little too "stately" as opposed to "sporty"...
I drove around in a mk5 Golf TDI .. wasnt very impressed at all, even the interior which looks nice in those pics doesnt look nice in person. The only thing that i liked is the TDI didnt sound like a TDI just a normal engine. Which honda also promotes in their new adverts.
I saw a Porsche GT, Maclearn SLR and a Maybach the other day .. now those looked nice
I think its time for Jason to send another letter to Volkswagen
Lots of people seem to be liking it which I find surprising. Even shocking. Even heart-attack-inducing.
Dear VW Guys...
Well first off I'd like to say thanks for listening to my first letter, you didn't make the MK5 Jetta look like a Honda (although, a TSX lookalike would have met the approval of my friends). But a Toyota now? Oh and how come it keeps getting bigger? If you could please make the MK6 smaller, perhaps go back to the rabbit size, I like that size, I know that people haul 3 times as much crap as they used to and have have to have more electronics than headlights and windshield wipers but the new ones look so goddy....oh, and if you could make them cheaper too, that would be great because I can't afford one, but I REALLY want one, I know steel keeps getting more expensive, maybe just lay off a few more quality control people....
Ok, the last one was a low blow, hehe.
Ah, it's good to be back.
Edit: Wait a minute it DOES kinda look like a Honda, a mini accord perhaps, you guys are sneaky. Also, *Hint* add some hip words like sheezy and Neezy in your add campaign, it'll make up for it's lack of sportiness, and don't call it a "car" call it a "whip"
