Looking to buy a set of rims and tires.....

Hey guys....

Just wondering if you could help me out. With winter coming up I thinking now is a good time to get a good price on a set of summer rims and tires for the Jetta. But I'm all pretty new to this and would like some advice. I've been looking at these on VWVortex.com and I like the look http://http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1581448 but I'm just wondering what you guys think and if you know of any places here in Calgary that have some good sales on now. Oh yah they are going on a '02 Black Jetta

Those are a nice choice! My only complaint is that its not a true 5-lug wheel. It does have a nice design though, and a bit of lip doesn't hurt. In my opinion the wheel style you choose kind of determines the theme for the whole car.

I bought my wheels (Axis) at Contemporary Motorsports. I really like them.

Ordering online can often get you a really good deal, especially if you buy a wheel/tire combo. I know tirerack is a very popular online site.

I would say pick the wheels you really want, don't compromise just to buy something local!

One wheel company I recently noticed is Maya, they are a step up but they have a similar split-5 style:

The only other similar wheel I can think of is by Zender, and I don't like it as much (but it may be cheaper):

new blingmaster will be me if somebody buys my RH's.. DTM kreuz 10's high polish.. but if nobody buys my RH's i'm redoing the lips and gunmetalling the centers

Milanos don't come cheap so uhhh...I say that we make ME the replacement blingmaster for now and have everybody donate a couple hundred dollars towards the "BRING THE BLING" foundation for VW's in need of ballin parts so that my car can proplerly meet blingmaster standards (need to have all top of the line parts on the head bling mobile you know...)

Let me know if this idea is a go and we can start off the fundraising

Milano's aren't THAT expensive really, and Id rock the s*it out of them if they came in 18s. Im excited to see those gunmetal hiro's however, they look pretty ballin'
