The B series looks like a Mazda 3 I guess all mercedes are gonna look like Mazda's now!! Man the Germans just have no originality. Look for a 4-door SLK coming soon

Rather, I think that Mazda just got the jump on everyone with the latest auto styling. They work on the cars for years, and I bet most companies have some idea what kinds of designs are in the works at their competitors.

I honestly love that B series though. Any more info on it? Price, availability...?

I think the B is still in the concept and design phase could be a little while still but the new class is also nice and I think we may see that here.

I found some preliminary specs:

Some Engines (Europe)

B 200 Turbo with 192 hp and 280 Nm 2.0 liter turbocharged inline 4 (M266)
B 180 CDI with 109 hp and 250 Nm 2.0 liter inline 4 (OM640)
B 200 CDI with 140 hp and 300 Nm 2.0 liter inline 4 (OM640)

Wheeeeeee!

Rumors are its scheduled to go on sale in the United States in late 2005 however it will be positioned as the entry levelm mercedes and so may not be available with a lot of the options or advanced engines from europe.

That rules! I hope we get the 140hp diesel option (yeah right). I'd be all over that.

Headlights are a bit weird... I'll never understand why that elongated shape is in style. The car also looks a bit big from the side. The back is awesome.

backend is kinda funky

personally i think the new mazda 3's are hot little cars.. shiz they even copied our platinum grey!! they just need more power. i think they have like 140HP.. give them like 200+ and they would be a great car..

I don't know how we got back on the Mazda 3 again, but as I mentioned in the other thread, its a pretty sure thing that there will be a turbo 2.0L mazdaspeed 3 out next year.
