  • Forge DV Question

When your cleaning and re-lubing the dv does the lube go all over the inside or outside of the piston?

    Thanks,

    Re: Forge DV Question

I generally give a light lube around the sides of the piston, and apply it a bit heavier around the o-rings on the sides of the cylinder. The rest of the internals don't have any movement/rubbing -- the only parts that really need lubing is the area where the rings make contact with the piston.

        Thanks for the info,

I put more grease on the o-ring area and around the side of the piston. Much better.

        Thanks again!

Ah well, it was supposed to be a little joke there... given the context I couldn't pass up the attempt... nonetheless I seem to have failed.
