I have a set of these... bought them last year for winter. Worked great. I think they are a good value. I got them from tiretrends.ca (which is in BC) already mounted on steelies.

I give them two thumbs up.

I had the Hankook W300 Icebears from www.Tiretrends.ca and I had all the traction I could handle at all I loved them.....

Had the Kumho winters on my rabbit last winter. They worked great and at a good price.

Walmart ? Crappy Tire ? or VW ?

Well...if you have like 700.00 to blow you could always get some Nokians from Kal Tire....man they are expensive but they keep me glued to the road. They perform well in summer too (good traction) but handle...um....well, lets just say I had Continental 4000H's on before, and they were crap in winter but awesome grip and handling in summer but the Nokians definitely have a softer sidewall and hard cornering suffers.
