  • Air bag light on again

The forth time air bag light on since new. One air bag and three set of harness on the steering wheel have been periodically replaced. I’m sure this time again needs an update harness. I don’t know when they will manufacture a well design harness that last longer than ten months.

weird, I've never heard of that being a problem on other cars. I wonder if it's a problem with the control unit/impact sensors and the new bag/harness are just patch fixes? Fishy anyway.

I had this problem on my jetta as well, It turns out that the problem was actually caused by a sensor in the seatbelt base. The wayit was explained to me was that since the sensor wasn't acknowledging that the seatbelt was connected, the airbag was being disabled, and causing the light to come on. I can't remember if it was covered under warrenty or if there was a recall.

      Anyway, I hope this helps
