  • which dealer will give SKC for installing new cluster

I might as well put in my new cluster, but need the SKC generated for the old cluster. A few people in Calgary have done the swap, where did you get the SKC generated.

The new cluster has a 4 digit SKC provided by the way.

what am I talking about? :

i got my from NL go thier with the info from the rosstech guide and ask the bald scottish guy his name is barry just tell him you are installing a euro cluster and need it and he'll help you out..

the login skc you have with the cluster isn't needed btw

now just write down the date the skc was generated for you and the code itself and you can use it for ever and ever with vag-com

Yes, I accidentally bid on the wrong cluster (non-TDI) on Ebay and won it, the seller was nice enough to sell me the proper one for an extra $20 (good deal)
the chrome rings and overlays can be changed in if needed though (I think)

                  RYAN,

I got a code from NL, asked for a dealer# but should have asked for a Work Shop Code

called Barry back, and he said it's the code they use - 7digit dealer#

can you send me the WSC and importer# which should be 999 according to ross-tech

I am going to try the dealer# (strip a few digits)
                  thanks

try 91505 for the dealer # for northland. the other one is yes, 999.

you're right about the number Bart, they give it with 2 extra digits in front (49)

it took a while since I can't follow instructions properly, or they are slightly confusing.

the serial number programming took a few attempts (step 9)

had problems coding the keys, because every time I set it to 3 keys it would return 1 as the old key count. that was confusing me. (step 18)

I probably have to get the adaptation values ( step3 of swapping clusters) that say are for 2002+ Audis channel 60 thru 70, because the factory radio is in safe mode. hopefully that's where the radio code is stored.

                      odometer programming was fine

Oh and when getting the SKC, I gave them the Immo ID, serial#from VAGtool, driver's licence and registration for the vehicle. That way they know it's my car and would be more helpful.
