  • Goodbye backpressure

Just got the Milltek 3"-2.5" downpipe/cat and 2.5" catback exhaust installed on Friday. The guys at Calgary Muffler did a good job. So far, no rattles or banging and the tips sit centered within the valence cutout.

Impressions so far are excellent. At first I thought that this system was too quiet. It's actually slightly louder than the stock system at idle, but when you get on the gas, it becomes readily apparent that this is no longer the crappy stock exhaust. I noticed the biggest difference today driving next to barriers and under bridges. It growls now and it put a bigass grin on my face The turbo and dv sound clearer and louder too. Although I'm not sure why the dv would sound any different.

The butt dyno says that power has improved as well. Not so much in the low end, but more so in the 4k and up range. The turbo seems even more responsive and something that I wasn't expecting was seeing higher boost. I was spiking to 23 psi! I have since turned down the boost so as not to liquify the lil turbo and put a full tank of tasty 94 in (BTW Husky on Macleod sells 94 octane).

All in all, I got everything I was expecting from Milltek and I am very happy with it.

Actually you do want some back pressure, but sweet none the less

Does this exhaust drone at all?
I'm curious how it is at 110km/hr, 115, 120, and 125  (I've had bad experiences with exhaust noise at these speeds )

            lol,

Thats a sweet combo you have for ur car. Defintely will help in the top end. I'm gonna switch to a 3" DP. Get that beast purring. 23 PSI spikes are pretty high.... turn that MBC down =)

Nothing that I would consider as drone. Cruising, sounds like the stock exhaust. The only time it sounds like drone is at about 1500 rpm when I step on the clutch to change gears and the rpms fall into the 1500 rpm range, but its a nice deep growl rather than anything annoying.
