  • Exhaust "blueprint"

    Hey Guys,
I just picked up a muffler (thanks QuA) and am planning on bringing it to calgary muffler cause it is held in high regards by a couple of my buddies..Anyhow, I want to do a mandrel bent straight pipe and I was wonderin' if anyone has the path the exhaust shop will have to bend the pipe in? Maybe this is just BS, but I heard that if you tell them exactly how to do it, it saves ya some $

    Oh, Cars a '02TDI jetta..TIA

Well I can tell you this for sure:

      Im a lazy bastard.

That means that I wont be getting under my car measuring sh*t haha..Im trying those DIY door-sills on vortex (actually turning out really, really nice) but even that is what I consider a lot of work when Im not gettin paid

Yeah, the only beef I have is they didnt have any perfect alum. strips..They all have tiny, tiny imperfections (litte dings that you can't sand out)..Pretty insignificant and if I hadn't spent 1.5hrs sanding them I probably never would have noticed, but now that I have, every time I open my door Ill see it

Other thing is stickers..All I need to do is clearcoat them and Im done, but I cant decide on stickers..First thought was some Flamin' C's but I cant find a small enough sticker, so I might go get a custom "tdi" sticker made..Anyway, should be done them by next week

j- dog you don't have to do anything with the exhuast calgary muffler will do everything. They put it on the hoist and just measure the lenght of tubeing that they need to cut and the angle of the bend they need to bend it to . No work on your part. Who told you that?

Well, I was under the impression they had a true mandrel bender there and it wasnt mandrel bent peices welded together..and if that were the case, it would make sense..cause they wouldnt have to hoist + measure (cost would be 1hr labour ish?) I dunno, Ill just bring 'er in and see what happens

                edit: Check yer PMs nick
