  • Rebuild and Reversed Forge DV

    I rebuild my Forge DV to use the Blue spring instead of the stock (Green) spring.

    I took it for a test drive and I absolutely could not tell any difference whatsoever.

    I also tried reversing the valve. The chirping noise is so loud that I shattered the glass in a bus stop shelter while driving past. I think I had better turn it back.

      i rock that chirp nonstop.

      i drove by a buddy of mine who had his windows up and the music cranked and he still heard the chirp over top of everything. now thats hardcore.

                You do drive your car pretty nice...

                Honestly, I think the blown DV's were more an issue on the earlier 1.8T engines, since they now have solenoid-controlled diverter valve action. Unless you bypass it. In fact, DV problems is probably why they added that little bit of electronics hardware.
