      Re: Duty

I would say that estimate is high. It depends who shipped it but you would pay 7% on the value for GST and then a duty fee on top.

          Re: Duty

Zero +7% of cost for GST. From what I have read lately car parts are covered under NAFTA so there whould be no duty. Most places will still try to get it out of you though so tell them to go F$%^ themselves

              Re: Duty

Depends where it's manufactured. If it's made in the US, it should be duty free. If it's manufactured in Asia, chances are it is made in a GPT rated country and your duty will be about 6% of the cdn value, plus gst, plus 6% of the gst, plus brokerage fee.

I get everything shipped as a "gift", and I usually get away with the duty free bit....Although, they did charge me 10 bux for my damn SS, which is a C1 I bought used....

                  Re: Duty

If good ole UPS ships it they will cornhole you $35 as a minimum brokerage fee.

Fed Ex charges less, but the cheapest is USPS. I have yet to get stung with brokerage or duty on a USPS shipped part.

The downer is that you don't get tracking and it's slower. By a lot.

Declaring a package as a "gift" only exempts you from $50cdn of the principal value. So, if the item is worth $150cdn, they would still charge you duty on $100 worth.

The exhaust gasses are of their largest volume close to the engine, as they cool off they shrink... so it makes much more sense to have a 3" DP and a 2.5" CB rather than what you are suggesting (I think).

Yeah, Kris the dp starts out as 3" then necks down to 2.5" to be mated to the 2.5" cb.

                        3" to 2.5" DP:
"New groundbreaking performance from Milltek. A 3" primary pipe with METAL cat for only $549. Now in stock and ready to fly. The fastest spool-up and class-leading catalyzation. Metal cats mean more flow (ceramic cats need more power-robbing density in order to equal the performance of METAL). Get yours now! Fits all IV-series Golf, Jetta, GTI, GLI, 337, Anniversary 1.8T (and Audi TT FrontTrak too)."

                        2.5" CB:
