Its a good price, but they'll never stay on your car with the broken mounting tabs.

I mean, I can probably get these for around $1500 CAD new, so I dont think that $1200 for used broken ones is a great deal.

With a little ghetto modding you can make anything stay on your car. Hell, you can glue them in.

But if the tabs aren't 100% I think he should knock a couple hundred off that price.

...you could even use fiberglass, right?

guys, i had to replace tabs on my FK lights already, you goto the dealer and they have a repair kit, and you 'screw' them into the old ones, and they are good as new. there. but the kit is like $35 per side.

                  Re: OEM HID's

One of my friends is looking at doing a group buy on HID retrofit's for the following bulbs: 9006 9007 H1 H3 and H7. Kit comes with the extra ballasts. I think he may be able to get them for $650.

Q1: Do you think this will look good or do you need the projector casing?
Q2: Which bulb fits the MK4 Jetta?

Retrofit bulbs are crap on the Jetta (no offence if you have them) because of the way that the high-beams work. As far as I know, you lose your high beams if you put in a retrofit kit?

I think it works on the Golf lights though.

Either way won't look HALF as good as OEM.

$650 is about half what you need for OEM, I would just keep saving if you think you need new lights that much.

                      Re: OEM HID's

the only retrofit that is cool is if you buy a bixenon projector from an X5,etc and then the bulbs/ballasts to fit it then retrofit that into your housing..
