fuel guage

I've had a weird problem with my fuel guage 2 times now, just wondering if anyone lese has seen this also.
(stock cluster by the way)

started up the car and started driving, decided to check the fuel level and the needle is at empty, no fuel warning though. shut off car and restart and the guage works fine.

Maybe just a loose wire, its easy to pull the cluster and check the wiring... if you're under Warranty I would make the stealership look.

The problem is not repeatable, or I don't know the conditions to make it repeatable. So right now it's not stealershippable.

I don't think it's a sensor because the fuel dummy light should go on also, it could be a broken/intermittent connection inside the cluster from the controller to the guage. Or just the way it's started.

Could have multiple meanings such as stolen goods available to be sent somewhere else for resale.
