  • HIDs for Jetta IV

I just bought an 01 Jetta GLX and I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of mods to install. One of the mods is a HID conversion kit (philips 5000k). I got it because it was a good deal. But I'm having my doubts now. Because it won't have the projectors it will be just REAL bright. But projectors I know make them much better. I dont' plan on getting projectors because I do'nt think they make them for the Jetta and even if they do they are reall $$.

The question I have then is...should I install them? Would they look alright you think? Thanks for the help!

But the thing is normal HIDs with the projectors are real bright too and they blind people. You do'nt think it would look nice without the projectors? Shoudl I just get the e-code smoked headlights?

        Re: HIDs for Jetta IV

I have made the decision to sell the 5000k philips bulbs and philips ballasts that I have not even received from www.xenondepot.com. It will come in the mail in a day or two and it is first come first serve. I am going to instead purchase the e-code smoked headlights that MMP makes. Therefore this is a brand new HID conversion kit that is all made by philips. No SCAM. You can call xenondepot and ask Steve. He is the guy who sold this to me and he will tell you how real this is. Anyways, email me at ewc115@psu.edu for more info
