Make your own high octane.

A while back I mentioned the addition of tolulene and/or xylene to your gas to crank up the octane and thereby allow you to run big stupid boost.

A couple of you posted your disbelief and concern about adding it to your tank.

I have a gallon of tolulene, a gallon of xylene, and 5 gallons of methanol (for making biodiesel) in nice sealed containers in my garage. It's not like it's sitting in a bucket by the backdoor. I've got the gloves, glasses and all that stuff for handling it just as recommended.

I've got a case of nitromethane gas additive on order too.
