Just got home from installing this beotch. Well atleast Ryan knows what a fully seated connector looks like now Had it all pu together then someone pulled the plug to the "brain" in the trunk and when asked to check it did a bad job good thing I checked it too as I was going nuts trying to figure why it stopped working.

Okay Heres the review

1st off HUGE HUGE HUGE thanks to Brent for all his knowledge, soldering skills and overall help tearing and putting back together my interior.
Thanks again to Derick for the working space and for being such a gracious host as always

Now for the review. GPS is free of charge no fees, XM is 10US? a month if I want that.
The GPS is so dead on its not funny. Derick and I went to NL today to get some parts and it told us when to turn dead on everytime it was so precise and cool.
The built in guages are quite cool. You can change them to other stuff but I have them default right now. The speedo really works (tapped off cluster harness).
Audio quality rules too.. sounds so awesome. MP3s load up really quick.
DVD movies rule too.. surround sound is killer in the jetta. We watched T3 on the ride home from NL. Note: we wired it up so we can watch movies all the time
Custom wallpapers can be uploaded via CDRW/R I have one of my jetta and one of ali larter (the ali one turned out funny on the deck and didn't strech) so I have to play with resolutions of the jpgs i upload.
Bad things- Soundsaround and visions are both jackasses and both sold me the wrong antenna adapter so Right now i Still have to get that and I need to purchase a OEM din pocket to fill the void lol

Other than that its pure bling bling..

Here's the pics. Like Ryan said this thing is uber cool The pictures don't do the color and clarity of the LCD screen any justice.

Some of the things that I liked....
- True waypoint navigation with route history, distance to waypoint, and a cool progress bar that anticipates changes en route.
- Completely acurate maps correct down to the last cul-de-sac
- Easy navigation menus like dirver POV, overhead scrolling map, and POI display.
- The sexy-lady voice that tells you when to turn aka fighter-jet styles
- Simultaneous nav and dvd functions (gives directions while dvd is playing)

Overall, very impressed with it..... If only I could afford one
