  • Tire Wear

I just finished pulling off my wheels to get all the GADAMN road tar off of the lip and the inside... 4 hrs worth off work....

When I pulled the Drivers Front off there was considerable wear on the inside portion off the tire.. this is the only one like this ...

Anyone know what might be causing this? Alighnment or Camber adjust?

    Re: Tire Wear

usualy when the wear is on the inside of the tire it is from the camber adjustment being in the negetive. If you camber is straight then another thing that might cause this is a lot of high speed cornnering. you said that is was only the drivers side right? Well that would indicate a lot of high speed conrering making left turns. Does this describe your driving?

Might as well have a shop do an alignment...

I get "camber" wear on the inside of the tires from my car being lower. But all four get similar wear.

I get "lack of camber" wear from the outside of my tires. But that is due to the type of driving I do.

Most likely cause of excessive negative camber I would think is a bent steering knuckle. Kor was told this and we were a little suspicious as it looks like a fairly hefty item. But after talking with Miles, he says he gets though a lot of these as they bend pretty easily. Now if I could just get some matched bent ones so I can actually get some camber...hmmmm..Or maybe just hit as many potholes as I can.

Yes, its true. I bent my wookie. And my steering knuckle. But its too expensive to fix right now, particularly since the only thing it hurts is that one of my wheels is slightly off.
