Thinking about swapping

I might swap my 2003 1.8T Tiptronic, velour, fully loaded for a 2002 1.8T 5spd leather. I have 26000km the 2002 has 45000km. I got 17" Monte's and this one has 15" dunno's =) Exact same color too.

He said it would be a complete swap if I throw in my rims.

Is this worth it?

You are a year newer, less KM, have the monetarily more valuable automatic, and the more valuable rims/tires. Yes his has leather but it only specs out as a $600 upgrade and I don't find the leather all that great. It makes my ass sweat in the heat.

There are 03 cloth 1.8t GTI's in the herald selling for $26,500. I believe that 02's 'loaded' were going for about $24,000. Quite a difference.

Still QUA, for resale the automatic option or the trip option in your case, will make the car easier to sell at a higher value. Im currently having a ***** of a time selling my 5spd 2.0l cause not to many people know how to drive stick. So in the end youll save your self alota problems by keeping your auto.

From a monetary stand-point that is a horrible deal. Your giving up one year, 19,000km's.... for basically a transmission and leather. Sure a 5-speed is nicer IMO.... but you'd be better off just selling your car and buying that one.

Ryan, there was (maybe is?) a 2000 or 2001 S4 black 6spd for sale in the city. Saw it in auto trader last week..pimpshit!

Don't do it, the car is worth less than yours in the books.....
