Wanna know what happened to Peter's old car?

I was at Norden today, and I see this beaten looking white jetta with a black badgeless grille and RS4 replicas. It couldnt be... yup, it was the car. In for 2800 of transmission work. The 5th (yes 5th) gear synchro failed catastrophically. Tech's said that the car was in as poor mechanical shape as they had ever seen... beaten to death were the words exactly. The paint job was really showing its age too.

Just thought I'd give a heads up.

so it made its way all he way up north.. i wonder if the bagging occured from the new owner or from the stampede auto sales here driving it in winter

I think that car has just had a hard life, Peter ran it hard, I am sure the Stampede guys drove the crap out of it and who knows about the new owner but I bet it is not an old lady!

Yeah, I dont think that 6 months of stampede + new owner is enough to destroy a tranny. The car isnt looking good at all. And I had no idea how cheap those RS4 replicas look in real life.

Also - all warranty work was denied due to the presence of an aftermarket clutch, and evidence of severe bagging.

I took another closer look at the car today... man its in sorry shape. Huge paint chips, massive curbage on the wheels, lower than I've ever seen any VW (the guy must have spun the coils to the max drop), a peanut butter packet sitting in an AC vent, crap all over the interior... poor thing. It's gone from being a fairly good looking jetta to a white beat up piece of crap.

man.. curbed wheels make me cry..those wheels looked really awesome when they were new.. thats disguting.. whats with the PB too.. JFC some people just not care

Yeah, I like those rims when they arent curbed/bagged...maybe not so much on a white car but that pic that Ryan posted of a red mk4 with the RS$ replicas? Damn!
