Monsoon HU Replacement

Alright, this is the situation...

I have a 2001 Jetta with a single DIN Monsoon HU, amp, and speakers. I want to remove the HU and replace it by building a computer for MP3, DVD, FM Tuner, GPS, etc. and obviously use the audio outputs from the computer to the factory amp and keep it as well as the speakers. Is it possible to simply splice the computer's audio out to the wires behind the HU with a wire harness from Best Buy, or is there another way that I need to go about this? If there is a way, what do I need to know? I don't know too much about car audio as you may have already guessed... Any guidence would be appreciated.

You are going to need a dediacted amp. There is no way a comp0uter soundscard output will be able to drive those speakers. Drop me an email or MSN and we can talk in detail as I will be doing something along these lines and I know what components to use.
