Solid pipe to relocated DV... would be nice to have. Bling too. Would look super-pimp with a chrome 006.

Oh yeah it says on the Vortex thread, $400 US.

I guess if you are willing to pay $250+ US for a samco hose, its worth $400 for a couple samco elbows and these nice chrome pipes...

I can quote one of my favorite vortex personalities on this one.

"That the great majority of the time you're recirculating air ie: the DV is open and dumping hot air from right off the turbo exit pipe back into the intake. By relocating the DV to just before the Throttle body, you're now recirculating cool air that has already passed through the intercoolers. You're also depressurizing the system at the point of obsruction (The throttle body), not the whole intake tract from the current dump point. " -- ttschwing

What does this mean? Cooler intake temperatures. Same thing you get from a CAI only this time we KNOW that the air is actually cooler. Also, your DV should respond better, which is awesome for those of us with piston type DVs. And this means better turbo spool between shifts.

If you guys want to help me track down the (ghetto) parts, I would be the guinnea pig for this. Or maybe Ghetto Concepts will try it...

I thought Sean had fabricated an adapter that goes right on the existing hose/throttle body connection for exactly this purpose? All you need is the adapter and a hose.

Yup Forge sells the adaptor but its gonna be a lot to ship from them.

Basically you just need the "T" and the rest can be sourced easilly.
