  • Simon's Brock Coffee Table

First of all, go and buy two extra 18x8.5" Brock B2 w/ polished lip wheels.

Then go to your local dealership and grab some nice 5x100 brake rotors to put behind each wheel for the "effect". Then weld a nice 2.5" pole into each rotor to support the wheel.

Make sure you dont get any sparks onto the 911 or you'll cry.

Measure your couches and decide on a nice height for the coffee table and cut!

Weld some nuts into the rotor so you can bolt the wheel down.

Make some nice artisitic bases for the new tables, funkier the better.

Weld the ends closed and grind until smooth.

Test fit the wheel and sit back and admire your great work.

    Look, you're almost done!

Only thing left is to paint the frame, i'm thinking either silver or flat black, any suggestions? Next we gotta go to the glass cutters and get them to cut 19" circles to put on top of the wheel and VOILA, we have some bling blang tables.

Enjoy, and please refer to this as the "Simon-Mod"

I think I would rather have the wheels on my car.

Hahaha, that's killer Simon Definitely paint them silver. How about one single oval shaped piece of glass to make one table with both stands?

hrm, yah thats a possibility. glass isn't that expensive so I could do both and switch every other day.

I agree, upholster the base with some kind of fabric.

Prolly too expensive but powdercoat would be sweet, keeps the "Auto" theme.

They're cool, the only problem I would have with them is I would bust my toe on those stands sooooo fast.

                        ok, finished the tables finally.

stripped the paint down on the wheels and painted bright silver, clearcoated the top lip/spokes, and painted the stand flat black. only have 1 pieceof glass at the moment, but will get the 2nd soon.
