    are their any performance specs yet on the V? like 0-60, 1/4mile, etc??

      I have only read that 0-60 time is around 7secs which is also being said is being under rated as VW often does.

          The suspension will be better, I am not sure about the engines yet. On paper, they look very good (2L turbo) but 200 bhp is not better than what a 1.8T puts out... how much can you get from a chip, and how long will it take the chip tuners to get it? Tough questions to answer. For me, my next car will largely be a compromise between styling and performance, if the Golf 5 can perform better than its competitors that is the only way I can see myself giving it a consideration. However, I am guessing that it probably won't be, given how performance has regained a foothold in the automotive industry in the past couple years.
