Golf V GTI Testing

Here are some photos of the supposed new GTI testing. If you look at the front and rear bumpers looks like it is North American spec. Supposed to have 2.0L FSI Turbo 4cylinder rated at 200hp. I dont mind the new golfs especially 2 doors, I think they look sweet!

Does anyone else think they look an awful lot like a Civic SI or an Echo hatchback?

if a mk5 comes with 4motion i can see myself possibly getting one.. otherwise its auditime or gasp.. i might sway and get a pure HP ricer mobile like the STI or EVO8

The MKV Golf is growing on me. I just hope they don't put those headlights and tail lights on the Jetta. Those headlights look like an evolution of the MKIV Golf, but I don't think they'll look good on a sedan. The Jetta needs to keep its square lights. Square and slightly swept back with xenons would look good.

Oh, and 4-motion all the way.

Also, the front bumper on the white one reminds me of the new A8 front end.

That grey golf from europe is my new favortie dub ever. Anyone else notice that the gti has tail pipes- First time I've seen a mk5 without a hidden exhaust.

I agree on the whole civic si and toyota thing. I bought a VW to get away from the negative *cough*(cheap)*cough* trend that honda has been taking in the past few years. The modded one doesn't look too bad but if you have to do that much work to make it look good then forget it. I like all the previous model golfs/GTIs but the mk V is garbage looking.

i like it
