Your money would be better spent buying a new aftermarket deck/amp/cd changer. They charge a fortune for the monsoon (sounds fine tho)

Sometimes I wish I didn't have the Monsoon deck... I love the wheel controls and would never switch, but its not very upgradable (MP3, changers, subs) and doesn't have that 'aftermarket look' that you get from with a really nice deck.

If you don't have the Monsoon system already I would also recommend just getting a really nice aftermarket deck....

Speaking of subs, I was thinking of ordering an MTX ThunderForm JETTA10A. Has anyone heard any good/bad reviews of this sub/enclosure combo?

Well, you could probably buy the amplifier from VW, but why would you want to?

Even if you install it, you'll void your electrical warranty, because it wasn't installed at the factory. It's an 8-channel amp, so you'd have to do some major re-wiring. In addition to this, you can get far better sound going with aftermarket equipment. A factory installed Monsoon amplifier in a Jetta is located in the trunk, bolted to the underside of the parcel tray on the passenger side.

            Don't do it man!
