Did anyone see those Concept1 Halogen HID look-a-likes? They're $29.99... just wondering if anyone has replaced their bulbs. Or has anyone replaced their whole lighting with a new HID system?

Just be careful not to exceed the stock wattage, or you WILL melt your housing. Tho I'm sure C1 would check that sort of thing first...?

Peter has had a set of these on his counter for like 2 months, so ask him to put them in and give you his opinion.

They're probably the Toucan ones. They look alright but they do't last. I went through 2 sets in like 9 months. wasn't too happy with them. As far as lighting quality goes, I haven't found any yet that compare to stock. The closest I've found are the PIAA's, but I wouldn't recommend it for the price. I'm waiting to try a set of those Sylvania Silverstars, they're not available in CAnada yet.

I've had a set of Silverstars in my car for at least 9 months now that I bought locally. I know Autobraun in Edmonton now stocks them.

I have the concept-1 bulbs installed and they look identical to the toucan ones. I did a comparison with 1 toucan in and 1 C1 bulb in and they are identical. Good bulbs at a pretty good price compared to the toucans. I recommend them, and they also don't go over stock wattage so that is good.
