Tint Group Buy Opportunity

Hey All,

So, I got my car tinted at ICON Auto Tinting. The car looks awesome. Although, the tint on my black dub sure makes it look "mean". Now, I almost feel obligated to get a APR Stage III or something just to justify the look. Anyhow, I asked Damian at ICON if he did group packages. He said that he would be willing to entertain a group purchase if he had like 5 cars. Prices would be as follows:

5 windows - Any tint - $150 incl. Lifetime Warranty
3 windows - Any tint - $120 incl. Lifetime Warranty

I would be down for this. On a Jetta does the 5 window include all the windows? Because the rear doors have those little windows between the back and the side... so technically, there are 7 windows to be tinted.

Anyhow, need 4 more people.

yes what kris said.. i got sorta screwed on mine.. when i bought it i had northland tint the windows and said do them all 35% she said all 5 and i said yes get it that day and the fronts had none.. WTF! i was complained they said oh sorry the little windows on the jettas count so you'll have to pay more for the fronts.. in the end it costed me 300 bones for all 7 from the dealer next time i'll get it done by a shop.. oh well

I'd be in for this deal... I'd like 35% on ALL (except the windscreen) windows. I have another friend who is in too. So count 2 people.

Thanks for setting this up Deuce Anyway I think I am sticking with no tint on my Jetta, I always have to be different, damn MK3 owners

Anyway I think Simon L was thinking about tint, so you should be able to get 5 cars!!

So what does it cost for only the front two windows? and do they have some way to match the colour of my existing tint?

Ah I already have rear tint too. I called some places, and basically they told me they could try to match it, but mostly no guarantees. I don't want to make my car look stupid, so I will just get all windows re-done to match perfectly.

for all who want to get ever window done get 35% all around.. thats what i have and is pretty much a limit to where cops won't pull you over.. you could try like 30% too and i imagine get away with it.. colin (liquid) has 20% all around and his is quite dark and i'm suprised he hasn't gotten pulled over but its all good

Ryan, do you remember who does the tinting for NL? I might just ask the dood who does the dealer stuff just to ensure that there is a perfect match.

umm terry i think his name is .. he drives a pimped out PT cruiser.. he does all the work for hyatt auto group like tint, clear bra,etc

His name is Stacey, and his company is FreeStyle Design. That is where I got my windows done, and it cost me way less than what ICON is going to charge, but that is because I knew him previously.
