so i just got a 2001 jetta tdi and i'm having some problems.....if i step on the gas the boost spikes to 20 psi then quickly drops to 10 psi i think it should be boosting 15 regularly but i'm not sure what would make it do this. sorry for the dumb question but i'm a noob with volkswagons. any help would be great...thanks in advanced.

ya doesnt sound right. it should be around 15 psi stock. no idea, maybe limp mode or something... your maf can be no good anymore.2002 VW Golf GT TDI

Could possibly be the vnt acctuator sticking. Do a search on the TDIclub website for more info. If you need drop me an email and I will see if I can figure it out for you. I can also scan the car for codes if you want to meet up, I don't mind getting my hands dirty
