The Cronos are nice, I seem to think they look best on dark colored cars, but lets se what Chris can do with the photoshop. Here is a pic of the other ones we saw for your evaluation too!

I want to see! I like the hyper silver in the ADR wheels better. The information you have is not bad but our wheels tend to be more in the 35-38 offset area, but spacers can always be used, and of course you can go with wider then 7.5 if you want too/have the option.

That is the width of the rim, so you can run widder tires if you want. Rims on our cars range from 7.5 to 10 inches in width depending on style, brand etc. So if you go 8 or 8.5 it does not necessarily mean you have to run widder tires but it just means the rim is bigger and you could if you wanted to. But a half inch difference is not very large so it also does not make a huge difference but and most times you really have no choice.

I'm pretty sure the offset for pretty much all VWs is 35mm. It doesn't have to be exactly that, but I don't know how much room there is to move. Check the wheel & tire forum on the vortex. There should be a link there to a FAQ that the guy from Tirerack has put together.
