    Mk1 Resources?

    Well, I really miss my old mk1's and regret selling (especially my rabbit GTI) and have been looking around for one to purchase. Question though is, are there any resources for this stuff in Calgary anymore? Things like engines/transmissions/various parts.

    I love this forum but wondering if there's other places I should be looking.

    I may regret it as mk1's are 40 years old now but I just keep thinking about getting another one.

    (if someone has a clean mk1 for sale (scirocco/Rabbit) let me know!)

          I am not sure if there is a local wrecker for parts anymore. I am always looking for parts for my cabby and it looks like most of it I will be ordering online.

            Well after lots of searching and almost buying a scirocco I ended up with a MK1 but not a VW, I ended up getting a MK1 TT for my beater. hoping I can find some wheels for it at a decent price here soon. Just trying to get the maintenance items out of the way.

                Thanks Blair, I'm enjoying the "beater" so far, but I'm also having to learn everything all over again. I miss when this forum was a huge resource for 1.8t and Haldex resources. Even trying to find some nice wheels for it is proving to be a challenge.

                I've just finished having all the preventative maintenance done so hopefully can do a few mods like coilovers and wheels.

                  Got a staggered set of Rotiform BLQ's for it. they are good 20 footers. Suspension is on order.

                  And Blair I found some "club tracks" to play in the car to keep it period correct! haha.
