MK6 GTi (2.0T TSI) Timing Chain Tensioner

Anyone had the timing chain tensioner on their VW/Audi 2.0T TSI replaced as a preventative measure? If so, where was it done and what were the costs?

Been thinking about getting this done on my 2012 GTI.

We've done a bunch at Calgary Autoworks, it's kind of a case by case basis. We've found lots of times the chain is stretched and needs to be replaced as the timing no longer lines up. Best bet would be to send an email to info@calgaryautoworks.com with your VIN and we can get some numbers together.
