    Re: Some questions about lowering/wheels/tires

Yes I here there is or will be a very large shortage on 35/40 kits from FK. I have also heard rumors about FK "restructuring" its North Amercian operation.

Yeah, I'm thinking I may have to go Neuspeed or Apex. They seem to be the only 2 spring manufacturers that have different front springs for the VR6 to keep the car level, instead of raked. That was one of the main things I liked about the 35/40 kit, lowered the rear more to reduce the rake. Oh well, I guess I'll give it another week or two, and see if C1 gets any more kits in.

Do you think that you will have your suspension before May 8th? Are we still on for this installs that day? If you are goin to be at the meeting on May 6 we can discuss it then.

Yep, I'll be at the meeting on the 6th, but Ryan can't make it. Regardless, I'll still volunteer my garage to do the install on the 8th. If nothing else, I can help, and see the process done first hand so it will be easier going when I do mine. See you at the meet on the 6th.

I'd be interested to know how long it takes for your ordered FK springs to come in......I am probably goin to place my order soon and I just hope that I don't end up waiting like 5 months because of this FK "restructuriing" ********

I saw khyrons car in person today....looks great....perfect drop. Definately going to have to place an order for this susp. kit sometime soon.

I saw him parked on 17th Ave and... 37th last night, but was with the gf and she didn't want to stop so I could check it out. By the time I got back there to take a closer look at the drop he was gone :(

Hopefully he's at the meet and I can get a closer look at his setup since this is still the way I'm leaning.

Ryan, I was referring to Turbomedic, as he, Gaffer, and myself were planning on doing some suspension installs next weekend in my Garage. It doesn't look promising that I can do mine, but Gaffer and Turbomedic will be rollin' low on the afternoon of the 8th

IF that was last night it was more then likely his wife who was driving. As she and my fiance have group meetings in the area on wednesdays. BTW you guys if you still want my help to do your springs I am all up for it. I will even go grab the spring compressor I used from the canadian tire by my place, I was the first one to use it and I tell you it was a nice little unit I hope someone has a strut spreader tool otherwise I am going to have to use my hex socket again

I'm sure the more help the better, to make sure things go quickly. I think Gaffer was going to bring a borrowed electric impact gun, and we're going to do TurboMedic's car first as he has to work at 3:00PM. Good question about the tool. If anyone has one, can you bring it to the meeting on the 6th for us to borrow on the 8th?

(using handles so Ryan doesn't get upset )

I have lined up the impact gun & the sockets so we are good to go with that. A spreader tool would be a definite bonus.

Would be a good idea to have a sparkplug socket and allen key as a backup incase the inpacy doesn't take them off so I will bring one along. Also a spreader tool is more then a bonus, it is a necesity! Or you can go the getto route and tap a hex head in and turn it, but I hear some aftermarket strut towers are wider and even need a penny used with the spreader to get it to open enough. Nothing a big hammer won't fix though
