Coil #1 is bad - can you tell?

The top coil is another J revision (my 2nd spare) - the bottom coil is the blown H revision. Note how the metal has spread?

Story: Well at 12200 KM I started the car (it was plugged in all ***ht) and the EPC and ASR lights came on. Just for fun I backed up and drove back into my stall. Drivable my ass - it's like driving at 40km/hr in 5th while towing a boat.

Sooo I took off the cover, and started swaping out coils. As luck would have it, the first coil I checked looked a little strange so I poped in one of the spares, and started the car. EPC and ASR went out, check engine came on (solid, like it's supposed to) and I did the backout-drive forward test. Was fine.

So all in all my 1st coil problem was less than 5 mins of hassle to fix, and cost me 30 bucks (which I'll get back when I take the car in next time)

One of my questions is, since it's Sunday and all the dealers are closed, what would have happened if I had had it towed in?
