Wasn't VW rated the worst customer service out of all car companies? I know the dealer i bought my car from always gives me **** and never does what they say they are going to do. I get the car back with the same problem everytime, now i know this may not be their fault, but one time i was in the area with a friend while waiting for a fuel sensor to be replaced and we were across the street. My car never left the front. I ended up leaving it there overnight because when they called for me to pick it up i told them the car never moved from the front where you check it in. The techs there are great tho, i just dont like dealing with some of the service advisors. Maybe they just think our cars have problems because of the mods and they wouldnt have to deal with it if we left the cars stock? just my .02

Edit: don't let the service advisor you dealt with represent the way you view the rest of the dealership, they are definitely the best of the bunch.

i want to know exactly how they freaked out when you came in for an oil change. what could they possibly freak out about? There are plenty more modded cars in the club that have had nothing go wrong when they go in for an oil change....

Ok the message was directed at the service manager. He's a complete momo. The service tech's are the bomb though. Blake comes highly recommended.... they just gotta lose the sm.

Right now Northland has no service service manager, He got fired about three weeks ago. So your prob is sloved.

I guess one point to be made is that you shouldn't have to have a *relationship* with your dealer for good or reliable service; 1) if your car is reliable in the first place you shouldn't be there that often, and 2) if knowing the guy gives you better service, that's wrong...everyone should get treated the same if they're paying. That's why I disagree with the "i get 10% off with this particular service person because they spoke to me" and the person who just wants the damn car fixed without chit-chat or schmoozing pays the full rate.

Still not sure I understand what they did or said about the mods during an oil change that created the hostility, though.

Therein lies your problem. The only bad experience I've had with NL was with the lisp guy. The service advisors are actually reasonable.
