Yeah they did that to me too once. They were like "have a seat in our waiting area, and our driver will be back shortly to give you a ride". Then after an hour, I go to the front desk and say "Remember me, I have been waiting over an hour for a ride"..... "ohhh we totally forgot".

OK first off I don't work at northland but I will defend these guys becuase I have a couple friends that work there that are the best vw techs around.

Point one I don't think they "freaked out" because you have mods. Many cars come there that are done to the tits - you are not the first- barts car was there for a engine and they didn't freak out.

Point two -When you see the service shutle pull up you are suposed to go ask him for a ride. This is not hard people- and it's the same for almost all dealerships. His name is jason and is a totaly cool guy for future reference. Don't be scared of him!

Point three- Paul is not the service manager he is just a service advisor.

I was just there for a oil change this morning and was treated great. Sometimes you guys take "bad service" way to personaly. Just relax it's just a jetta/golf and it's just going for an oil change it's not the end of the earth!

And you know what would be more productive than going on to a web site and saying something super smart like " nothtland sucks " would be to ask to talk to the manager or owner. I know Perry (owner) and he is more than willing to listen to anyones complants. And then telling us what they did for you to make it better.

Do you know you know him fairly well? Can you tell us how he feels about modded cars? I'm just looking for a general sense of personality of the guy. Does he look favorably or is he completely against modded vehicles coming into his dealership?

i was gonna say i'm probably one of the highest modded cars that goes there.. mike too.. and we get treated great.. I always use paul or barry and they treat me awesome and always comment on the car. i dunno dude.. bad day on both accounts perhaps

Perry as far as I know doesn't have a problem with modded cars as long as it doesn't affect the warrenty ie chip, new turbo. He doesn't want to sell aftermarket stuff because he belives that there is no money in it. He does realize that us guys/gals are out here do like to put a lot of money into our cars though and can apperecate that we really care for them. To make it simple though I don't think he cares if a car is modded or not if it is on the hoist to get work done.

like i said, northland is the best vw dealer in town, i think so anyway. paul was my advisor too, originally he suggested i was racing or something like, but in the end, and with a little gentle exchange of words, it worked out in the end.

when i was in getting my cv-joints done, i didnt get a loaner, again, so i called him, left messages, faxes, and wrote letters. you are maybe right about him being a good listener, but on the 'responder' part, i would beg to differ.

i am myself establishing some relationships with the people there, as i go there alot, they recognize me and the car, i think things will only be smoother for me from this point on.

Ok the message was directed at the service manager. He's a complete momo. The service tech's are the bomb though. Blake comes highly recommended.... they just gotta lose the sm.
