Im getting this on low throttle. Its flutter sound when i just cruise lightly. Is this normal? or is my spring too tight?

Can you explain the flutter in more detail?

Its a piston-type valve, so I don't think it can "flutter" like the stock DV ? I could be wrong though.

It might be my CAI. I think it has to do with the spring in my DV.
Cars been acting weird. From 3rd to 4th gear change my boost holds and then drops to 11 and back to 15. I defintely have surging issues now.

Is the sound more of a sputtering sound? I get that sometimes when I tromp on the gas at lower rpms (< 3000) and then release it right away.

Hmm that is the fastest gear change, it sounds like maybe it is a weak spring, if it can't close fast enough then it would act as you describe (brief pressure drop after change).

That's the one I've got in right now too. The spring stiffness goes in increasing stiffness from:

                  green
                  yellow
                  blue
                  red

I think yellow is fine for our setups. I think in general, Green for stock, yellow for chipped, blue for upgraded turbo and red for crazy fkers.

What spring does it come with? I have the spring set but haven't taken apart my valve yet.

Just squeezing the red one, I know its useless, I am pretty sure it would never open.

red really sucks. It doesnt open at all. LOL. I tried blue but it was too stiff. Yellow is good.

                        What happens with blue?

Blue is not bad but you can tell its not a smooth ride. Very edgy feeling like boost is coming on and off too hard.

The valve only comes with the green one if you don't also buy the spring set.
I find that the yellow one is pretty good. The thing feels crisper when opening and closing.

Red opens for me, but yellow seems to work the best.

I've had boost fall flat a couple times with the yellow, but that is pretty rare.
