MK6 Jetta Tail Light 3rd bulb

On my MK6 GLI there is a 3rd empty socket in the inner tail light assembly. What is it for? Can I wire it up like the 5 light mod on the MK4?

Rear fog light. I'm sure there are kits to wire it in, or just mod i like the mk4 5th brake light mod
