  • Autobraun and GHL?

I came by autobraun today to have a look, say hi, and see what was new. Conveniently, they were closed at 1:00 PM.

Anyway, there was an empty GHL motorsports box lying by the door... can it be? Is Autobraun a GHL dealer now? Anyone heard anything?

actually, that was probably from my exhaust. i bought a GHL 2.5" catback through them. (i will post pics and write a review later, i've only installed it yesterday!!) i think they are a distributor. before, i just thought they only sold supersprint exhaust, but then i remembered that they are forge distributors as well. so i wanted to get the forge/ghl exhaust but found out it was the super loud one. then vince said that he can get a true ghl exhaust. so thats what i got
they also brought in a 2.5" ghl downpipe for me, but i was out of money.

and i think he closed early b/c he's going to powerama.

that guy can somehow bring in just about anything.. but he's so unreliable, sometimes he doesnt open until super late.. like his hours are 9-4 monday -> saturday.. ive shown up at like 11:00AM and he's still closed.. or 2:00 and he's already closed.. sometimes he doesnt even open on saturday. actually, im pretty much sick of dealing with him, id rather go through c1 even tho im in edmonton. he took several months to get a grill in, and i ordered a roof spoiler in like october and it still hasnt shown up. plus he never calls me or keeps me updated or anything.

He can bring in anything, but after having a few conversations with the guy about various tuning products, I really dont think he knows a lot about the stuff he sells. My experiences at C1 have been completely the opposite though.

The other thing about them is how high their prices always are. If you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay for that GHL exhaust? And can you take me for a ride? I'd love to hear how it sounds...

NA Motorsports is doing a GHL group buy right now. They are first rate, even to Canada, and I would recommend just ordering from them.

Its stickied in the Mk4 classified on Vortex. I ordered some Neuspeed from them, they had great prices, customer service and decent shipping.

the exhaust came out to be $800. i thought the price was very reasonable considering that a TT exhaust is around the same price. they also brought in a 2.5" ghl dp but i'm not sure what the price for that was.

yeah, i can give you a ride. i need to get the exhaust adjusted first (probably sometime next week, i'll let you know)...it rattles like crazy at idle. but the sound is just pure bliss. i turn off the radio, and open the window to drive now just to hear it purr. you live in edmonton??

That isnt a bad price at all... ECS Tuning sells these for USD$589 + shipping/customs/etc.

Hmmmmmmmmmm. Yeah, I'd love to hear it some time... if its rattling, you really should check the way the exhaust was installed. Its not supposed to do that.

Oh yah, and I'm from Edmonton.

westside automotive installed i for me. they said that if it rattles, bring it back and they'll adjust it. i'm gonna do that this week. also, its a bit off center so i'm gonna get them to take a look at that as well. once i get the rattling fixed, i'll let you know. maybe we can hook up this weekend or something....where do you live by? i live in the millwoods area.
