Which dealer is best to go to for rust warranty claim, I am almost at the end of my 10 years and this winter was very hard on the old car.

    Re: Rust Warranty

if it is a VW, it should be 12 years, and it is from the manufacture date, not the model year.

5th ave looked after me. I feel like they might be more stingy with warranty post diesel issue...

Can't comment on which dealer, but ill say good luck!

Have a nice rusted hole in my B6 A4 that Audi would only cover 70% of.

Total bill of 2712.00, and wanted me to pay 814.00.

They're all difficult to deal with for rust as far as I have seen.

I feel like I'm possibly the only one who loves this warranty.... Northland took care of my old MK4, and 5th Ave looked after my Passat!

Can't comment fully yet as it's at the body shop and some details are still being sorted, but Fifth Ave is currently looking after my MK4 Jetta.

The "Waggin"? I noticed a rust spot at one of the coffee meets.

I thought the wagon looked great, it sits just right.

Thanks Gerard. Yup, the Waggin is getting some work done.

                  Re: Rust Warranty

Well I am happy two of five spots will be fixed under warranty and the rest will be sent in to VW to decide, pretty happy with that. Good thing I did not listen to post saying rust warranty is a waste of time

                    Re: Rust Warranty

Just got mine back from Fifth Ave last Saturday. Car looks awesome! Brand new front fenders and tailgate, the rust around the rear passenger wheel and rust on sideskirts taken care of. Only rust remaining on the car is a bit around the rear drivers side wheel. It wasn't covered because the paint was a different thickness; previous owner must have had it repainted at some point. I'll Por15 this myself / get it professionally painted at some point down the road when it gets annoying enough.

Thanks Fifth Ave (& Continental - who was the body shop involved) ... and, of course, to Derek (Ginch) for suggesting that I have them take a look and try to get it covered.
