There was this guy standing next to me with a backpack on in MacEwan Hall here on Campus today... my cell phone rang, so I punched him in the face and ran!
Bluetooth is only a security threat if you leave your phone or pda on discoverable all the time so some random joe can connect to it. I've 'bluejacked' people before at bars too... its fun. Some guy with a nokia 7something came up on blue bluetooth discover devices list once at Squires, so I sent him a contact that said "Get a real phone'. Next thing I know, the guys at the table next to me have their phone make an odd sound, and they all crowd in to look at it with a really confused look on their faces. Needless to say, I put my phone away.
What I'm really trying to say here is that my phone doesnt even allow me to leave it on discoverable all the time like some nokias do by default (I have a SE T68i), so I'm not too concerned about someone jacking my phonebook.
However, I wouldnt blame them if they'd want to. Plenty of fine ladies phone numbers.
Well it sounds like they are about to pass a law banning cell phones in cars, so Im looking at bluetooth options for my 01 GTI.
I have a single din stock radio, so will this parrot device install behind my deck and display on the deck, and be heard through my car? Parrot's site is really hard to use, so Im struggling to find much info on this.
Pics would be great if anyone has any.
When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.
