MAF Cleaning

Hey,


Is there anyway to clean the MAF without ruining it? I've noticed my car has been a little hesitant lately and kinda pausing at around 5000 at WOT.

i think people use alcohol on it. 99.953% to be exact lol.

yea you have to find super strong rubbing alcohol or use electronics cleaner solution as that won't leave a film behind.. fill a baggie up stick it in there shack gently for a minute take out and let it dry for like a long time..

Any kind of pure solvent should do the trick You can buy high purity Isopropyl Alcohol at shoppers drug mart.

Also, VW makes a special MAF cleaning solution. Search around on the Vortex and you should be able to find a part number. It comes in a spray bottle.

Whatever you use, do not touch the sensor at all, just spray it on, and either let it evaporate or spray it off with canned air.
