  • 1.8T Coolant Leak near Firewall

    Hey Guys,

Looks like this is probably an easy one, but want to make sure I am looking at the right thing.

Came back from the store with the family this evening and parked, smelt hot, and there was a trail of fluid behind me. Looking under the car there was a lot of what I am certain was coolant leaking from the back of the bay. Then opening the hood it was easy to see what happened. The first pic, it is where the two hoses meet with the wet spot.

Second pic is where the arrow points, can see the hose has been worn down, it is the lower of the two coming from the firewall.

I apologize, this picture wouldn't go smaller.

Not 100% on what that line is called, but figure can probably get it at CAW, which was my plan.

    Any insight from the experts!

Backstory, only cooling line related work was having the timing belt + metal impeller water pump done at July of last year.

    Thanks
    Connor
