02M Compatibility?

I have someone interested in the 02M from my 05' GLI but he needs it for a 2008 GTI... not sure if they're a straight swap or not. Does anyone know or know where I can find out?

There's probably a difference with the ratios, most important part would be checking if the bell housing is the same pattern

4 cylinders use the same bell housing. Mk5+ uses the abs module for speedo and the ratios will be goofed up.

I'm comfortable with it bolting up as it should... and the slight difference in gearing is fine too. The 02M from the TT 225 that's in my car now has slightly different gearing and it's all good.

I suppose I just need to know if there are any issues with missing sensors and if the transmission mounts are in the same place.
