  • Worthersee 2015 Volkswagens (OEM & Aftermarket)

I thought I would consolidate some of the other official Worthersee VW releases in one thread.

Volkswagen has unveiled the Golf GTI Dark Shine concept at Wörthersee 2015.

Created with the assistance of 13 apprentices from Wolfsburg and Sitech Sitztechnik, the one-off model is based on the Golf GTI Performance and features a Daytona Grey Metallic and R-Yellow Pearl exterior with handcrafted tailpipes.

The sporty styling continues in the cabin as there's Recaro front sport seats, yellow contrast stitching and leather / Alcantara upholstery. The model also features an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, revised trim and yellow accents. There's also a 3,500 watt audio system - with eight speakers and three subwoofers - which can be controlled by a tablet.

Under the hood, the 2.0-liter TSI engine has been equipped with a new intercooler, an optimized ECU and a carbon fiber air box. Thanks to these modifications, the engine develops 395 PS (290 kW) and 487 Nm (359 lb-ft) of torque.

Volkswagen has introduced the new Golf Variant Biturbo Edition at Wörthersee.

Built by 14 apprentices from Zwickau, the one-off model has an Alor Blue exterior with Deep Black pearl body stripes. The wagon also features a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system and five-spoke alloy wheels.

The two-tone theme continues in the cabin as there's black leather sports seats with blue bolsters. The model also has a leather-wrapped steering wheel, gloss black trim and a premium audio system. Other notable highlights include an extendable cargo deck and an airbrushed roof liner with a map of Saxony that highlights Volkswagen production sites in Chemnitz, Dresden and Zwickau.

Power is provided by a Passat-sourced 2.0-liter biturbo diesel engine that produces 240 PS (176 kW) and 500 Nm (368 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a DSG transmission and a 4MOTION all-wheel drive system.

ABT Sportsline has introduced a modified Volkswagen Golf R at the GTI Meeting in Wörthersee, Austria.

The all-wheel drive Golf R hot hatchback has received a rather flashy lime green body wrap to go with the hardware upgrades prepared by ABT. Most of the work was done underneath the hood where the four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine has been massaged to deliver an additional 100 PS (73 kW), thus bringing the grand total to 400 PS (294 kW). There's no word about the torque figure, but one of their previous Golf R project came with a 100 Nm (73 lb-ft) bump to 480 Nm (74 lb-ft).

Aside from the power boost and striking wrap, this particular VW Golf R has received the tuner's 20-inch set of ABT-FR wheels, along with headlight covers, custom front grille, redesigned side skirts and a carbon-like wrap on the mirrors. At the back resides a glossy black diffuser and quad 102mm (four inches) exhaust tips featuring a black chrome-plated finish.

Re: Worthersee 2015 Volkswagens (OEM & Aftermarket)

Oettinger has unveiled their new Volkswagen Golf R500 at Wörthersee.

Described as a "super sports car," the model is based on the Golf R and features an aggressive widebody kit and 20-inch ATS forged wheels with Dunlop Sport Maxx tires.

The sport styling continues in the cabin as the tuner installed leather / Alcantara sport seats, Alcantara accents and revised trim. The model also has a new gear knob and orange contrast stitching.

Bigger changes occur under the hood as the 2.5-liter TFSI five-cylinder engine has been "extensively modified." Highlights include a new turbocharger, forged pistons and an optimized ECU. There's also a new air intake, an improved cooling system and a sports exhaust system. Thanks to these modifications, the engine produces 518 PS (381 kW) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the all-wheel drive R500 to rocket from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 300 km/h (186 mph).

If that's not insane enough, the company says they're working on different versions with 600 (441 kW), 650 PS (478 kW) and 750 PS (551 kW).

The R500 will eventually go limited production and pricing is expected to start at approximately €150,000 ($171,187).

Love it, should rename thread: how to take your GTI or R32 and make it into a R400.

Where were my car tuning classes when I was in school?
