  • Anyone have an alternator pulley removal tool I can use?

Hi everyone, I'm new here, great local group you have here.

My alternator went on my 03 tdi, and I need to swap the clutch pulley over to the new (used) alternator I have. I was hoping to get her up and running for Monday, other wise I would just order the tool online. Does anyone have a pulley removal tool I could use? I'm up in the north, I have both alt's sitting on my bench, I could come to you or whatever would be easy. Thanks in advance, and again, great site!

Thanks for that, I didn't even think of going there. I had given up on them for tools in the past. I just picked it up and will be up and running in no time. Cheers.

I'm not ashamed to say that I would keep the receipt and take it back - - unless you feel you will use it more than a couple of times.

The thing with princess auto is they seem to stock some of the crappiest -- low quality tools -- you can find. The quality control on a lot of things is really bad.
